As many of you have heard, there is an attack being made on the gas tax paid by non-road
uses that goes to fund recreation. The gas tax purchased for snowmobile use generates
approximately $5 million each year towards funding the snowmobile program, trails and
safety. MnUSA’s leadership and lobbyist are working with the other recreational groups to
oppose this legislation and your assistance with attendance at the Legislators’ Reception and
by you contacting your own legislators is very important to successfully protect our trails and
defeat the legislation. If you don’t know who your legislators are, you can find them at
